Reviewed the software-engineer overview from a practicing full-stack and systems developer standpoint. The description of responsibilities is accurate, but it framed software engineering mainly around writing code and left out two parts that dominate real day-to-day work: version control and code review as a collaboration discipline (branching, pull requests, resolving review feedback), and testing and debugging as a first-class activity rather than an afterthought. Added these so the picture reflects that a large share of an engineer time goes to reading and reviewing code, writing tests, and diagnosing failures, not only producing new code.

The 23-minute interruption-recovery figure is from Gloria Mark's research, not Peopleware

    Before

resuming productive coding flow after an interruption takes an average of 23 minutes.

    After

resuming productive coding flow after an interruption is costly; research by Gloria Mark and colleagues found it takes an average of about 23 minutes to return to a task after an interruption.

Why: Verified fix already fully applied in article body: the 23-minute figure is correctly attributed to Gloria Mark and colleagues, while Peopleware (DeMarco and Lister) is cited only for the general observation that interruptions are costly, not for the specific figure. No secondary leftovers found in FAQ.
