Melik Can Sariyer
Expert ContributorSoftware Engineer and Linux OS Developer
About
I am a software engineer who builds practical software and low-level systems, from full-stack web applications to embedded firmware and custom operating systems.
My core work spans operating systems and Linux, embedded systems, and full-stack development. I built StudentOS, a lightweight Linux distribution I designed to run smoothly on low-spec student devices, and I develop embedded projects on ESP32-S3 microcontrollers where memory, power, and timing constraints leave no room for sloppy code. On the application side I work across React, Node.js, Express and MongoDB, with additional experience in game development and test analysis.
I care about how things actually run, not just how they read on a slide: whether a build reproduces, whether a driver or dependency is real, whether an instruction works on the hardware and OS versions people actually use. That is the lens I bring to reviewing technical content.

I review software, Linux, and embedded content for technical correctness and reproducibility. I check that commands, code, and configuration steps actually work on the stated versions, that architecture and performance claims hold up, and that instructions do not skip the step where a real reader gets stuck. I flag anything that is out of date, hardware-specific, or presented as universal when it is not.
