  1. 11 July 2026 · corrected by Melik Can Sariyer

3 flagged findings: an uncited claim that Teams 'overtook Slack in daily active users in 2020' conflating DAU/MAU metrics without a source; an unverified quote attributed to Loryan Strant (real Microsoft MVP) citing a specific conference session with no verifiable source; an unverified quote attributed to Tom Arbuthnot (real Microsoft MVP) citing a specific podcast episode with no verifiable source.

    What the page claimed

Since Teams overtook Slack in daily active users in 2020 and surpassed 300 million monthly active users by 2023... / "Teams governance is where most organizations fall short..." -- Loryan Strant, Microsoft MVP and Teams specialist, from the Microsoft 365 Community Conference 2023 / "Direct Routing is where Teams telephony candidates most often struggle..." -- Tom Arbuthnot, Microsoft MVP and co-founder of Symity, from the UC Today podcast

    What was corrected

Removed the uncited Slack DAU comparison, retaining the verifiable 300 million MAU figure ('Teams surpassed 300 million monthly active users by 2023'). De-attributed both quotes to plain unattributed prose, removing the Loryan Strant and Tom Arbuthnot attributions (no locatable source for either). Removed the now-orphaned Strant and Arbuthnot reference-list entries.

Why: Applied fact-check fix: removed unsourced DAU/MAU comparison, de-attributed two unverified quotes, removed orphaned reference entries.
