The scarcity-impairs-cognition experiments are Mani, Mullainathan, Shafir & Zhao (2013, Science); there is no Robert Spears 2011 scarcity-cognition study.
BeforeRobert Spears and colleagues (2011) conducted experiments showing that inducing participants to think about financial scarcity impaired cognition. Also, a stale subheading '<h3 id="shafir-mullainathan-and-spears">Shafir, Mullainathan, and Spears</h3>' remained in the body, and the FAQ field's answer to 'How does poverty relate to decision fatigue?' still read: 'Eldar Shafir and Sendhil Mullainathan, and separately Robert Spears in 2011, explored how scarcity affects cognitive bandwidth.'
AfterMani, Mullainathan, Shafir, and Zhao (2013) conducted experiments showing that inducing participants to think about financial scarcity impaired cognition (this part of the body was already correct). Fixed the leftover heading to '<h3 id="mani-mullainathan-shafir-and-zhao">Mani, Mullainathan, Shafir, and Zhao</h3>' and updated the FAQ answer to: 'Eldar Shafir and Sendhil Mullainathan explored how scarcity affects cognitive bandwidth, and Mani, Mullainathan, Shafir, and Zhao (2013) extended this experimentally.'
Why: The main body paragraph had already been corrected to Mani, Mullainathan, Shafir, and Zhao (2013), but a secondary section heading and the FAQ JSON-LD field still carried the unverified 'Robert Spears (2011)' attribution. Fixed both, re-encoded the FAQ using its exact base64/JSON operation sequence, and verified via re-fetch that the unverified name no longer appears anywhere in the post.
