   Article cited a 2021 Kauffman Foundation study attributed to Robert Litan, a 2020 Brynjolfsson and Hitt American Economic Journal paper, an NFIB report attributed to William Dunkelberg and Holly Wade, and a researcher, 'Christine Richmond,' at the SBA, none of which could be located, plus four company case studies (Bopple, Townsquare Interactive, Brightpearl, and Homebase) with statistics, quotes, and whitepapers that could not be verified, including a Brightpearl employee, 'Sarah Sherwood,' who could not be verified to exist.

   What was corrected

   Rewrote the entire research and case-studies section, preserving the real companies, executives, and researchers (Kauffman Foundation, NFIB, Erik Brynjolfsson, Lorin Hitt, William Dunkelberg, Holly Wade, Bopple, Angus McLachlan, Homebase, John Waldmann, Brightpearl) while removing every study, whitepaper, unverifiable employee reference, quote, and specific statistic that could not be verified against a real publication or public record.

   Why: Verified against the actual publication records of the Kauffman Foundation, Robert Litan, Erik Brynjolfsson, Lorin Hitt, NFIB, and the SBA Office of Advocacy; verified Bopple's and Homebase's actual public information and executive records; found no employee named Sarah Sherwood associated with Brightpearl in any role, and no corroborating source for any of the specific studies, whitepapers, or statistics removed.
